Part-time, Flexible Hours, Mon-Fri 8-5
As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will join an Orthopedic Medical group and play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries and surgery. In this position, you will work with a diverse range of patients, providing evaluations, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to improve their overall quality of life.
We are looking for a friendly personality with excellent patient care skills. A compassionate PT who makes patients feel comfortable and welcomed into therapy session.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical and functional abilities.
2. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidenced-based practice.
3. Implement therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual techniques to improve patients' physical function, mobility, and pain management.
4. Educate patients and their families about the goals and expectations of physical therapy, as well as home exercise programs and self-management strategies.
5. Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the course of treatment.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest research, techniques, and advancements in the field of physical therapy.
8. Adhere to professional ethics standards, confidentiality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
9. Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions, assessments, and treatment plans.
10. Continuously evaluate and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and changing needs.
Requirements
1. Valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist.
2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
3. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
4. Excellent clinical skills and ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
7. Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach towards patients.
8. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient cases.
9. Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
10. Previous experience in outpatient or ambulatory care setting is preferred.
11. 5 Years of experience preferred.
