Full Job Description
As an In Patient Physical Therapist for a growing hospital, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of patients by providing high-quality physical therapy services. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform evaluations to assess patients' physical and functional abilities.
2. Develop patient-centered treatment plans based on evaluation findings and established goals.
3. Implement evidence-based interventions to improve patients' physical function and reduce pain.
4. Educate patients and their families about the goals and expectations of physical therapy.
5. Monitor and document patients' progress throughout the course of treatment.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate care and optimize outcomes.
7. Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of physical therapy.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient treatments and progress.
9. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and professional ethics standards.
Requirements
1. Valid state license or certification to practice as a physical therapist.
2. Bachelor's or Master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited institution.
3. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.
4. Excellent clinical skills and ability to develop appropriate treatment plans.
5. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient cases.
8. Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.
9. Previous experience in an inpatient setting is preferred, but not required.
