Role Summary
BEAM Circular is looking for a Program Manager (or Senior Program Manager, dependent upon experience) who will provide cross-cutting support for BEAM Circular projects and programs. This role involves managing and coordinating various initiatives to ensure they align with BEAM Circular’s mission and strategic goals. The Program Manager will work closely with the executive team, project teams, and external partners to drive the success of innovation, workforce solutions, community prosperity, business & economic development, and partnerships. While the Program Manager’s portfolio is expected to evolve over time, initially, the Program Manager will focus half their time on supporting different programs and the other half on the feedstock access portal/marketplace program.
Feedstock access portal/marketplace:
- Collaborate with our network of partners to identify and catalog the feedstock waste producers and their waste products in the North San Joaquin Valley.
- Collaborate with our network of partners to develop detailed feedstock inventory across the NSJV differentiated by material type, monthly availability, yearly trends, and location.
- Collaborate with a website developer to launch a public Feedstock Knowledge Portal.
- Develop a comprehensive marketplace resource for investors, bio-based companies, and the public based on the assessment and modeling.
Business and Economic Development & Cross-Cutting Support for Projects and Program:
- Support the launch and implementation of key programs including a startup accelerator program, and technical assistant program for local businesses, among other programs that directly support businesses in the circular bioeconomy sector.
- Support the development and implementation of Contacts Relationship Management Tool supporting an efficient management of the different stakeholders involved in the business and economic development of the circular bioeconomy in our region.
- Gather and analyze data on industry trends and market performance.
- Develop and implement standardized processes, templates, and best practices across projects.
- Ensure consistency in project documentation, reporting, and methodologies.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.
Essential Functions:
Project Planning and Execution:
- Oversee and coordinate multiple projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement project scopes, project plans, objectives, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed program plans, KPIs and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management:
- Engage with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to understand requirements and expectations.
- Work with local firms, accelerator program providers, technical assistance providers, research institutions, and industry stakeholders to understand needs and support program utilization, implementation and successful participation.
Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare and present reports to senior management and other stakeholders on program activities, outcomes, and impact.
- Facilitate communication between different teams and departments involved in the initiatives.
- Maintain documentation required for grant compliance and audits.
- Collect feedback from stakeholders and participants to identify areas for improvement.
- Use lessons learned to refine and optimize program strategies and processes.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in program and project management, with demonstrated ability to develop and manage detailed cross-functional plans while communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience in management consulting, business technical assistance, startup development, economic development, and/or nonprofit program administration
- Proactive and effective in a startup organization, with the ability to develop program plans and design processes that ensure outcome goals are achieved.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence key decision-makers.
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years professional experience required
- Master’s in Business Administration or similar graduate studies / additional years of experience preferred
- Educational or professional experience related to environmental sustainability and/or biomanufacturing a plus.
- Candidate must be able to attend in-person meetings across the North San Joaquin Valley region
Environmental Conditions:
- Indoors in a typical office environment approximately ninety-five percent (95%) of the time.
- Frequent computer use at the workstation for up to eight hours.
- Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
- May occasionally move (walk or drive) from one work location to another.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, and climb stairs.
- Ability to move and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Visual Acuity (Far/Near).
- Regular and Consistent Attendance.
Benefits
Compensation:
- Pay based on experience. Salary range is $80,000 to $100,000 with a competitive benefits package.
- Position based in Modesto, CA. Hybrid work arrangements permitted.
