Full Job Description
The Capital Projects Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting Bethel's Capital Projects department through overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects within Capital Projects. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Project Manager to join our team and lead our multi-campus projects to success. This role requires a strong understanding of construction best practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to our mission. The Project Manager will coordinate with various stakeholders, departments and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment as well as independently and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Hours: 40 per week
Salary Range: $25-$31 per hour
Requirements
Qualifications:
● Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, with a preference for experience in construction or nonprofit sectors.
● Strong financial understanding and experience in project budgeting and cost control.
● Preferred: Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
● Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong leadership and communication skills to manage project teams and stakeholders.
● Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
● Proficient in project management software, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office Suite.
● Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
● Flexible team player, willing to adapt to changes and unafraid of challenges
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
○ Develop project scopes, objectives, budgets, and timelines in alignment with organizational goals.
○ Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to create detailed project plans.
○ Organize community input sessions to ensure projects meet the needs of the communities served.
○ Planning, coordinating and managing all phases of construction projects, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closeout.
2. Project Implementation:
○ Conduct regular meetings to facilitate communication, address challenges and to meet project objectives.
○ Provide regular updates and reports on project status, including milestones, budget updates,
○ Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
○ Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful execution.
○ Conduct regular site visits with Capital Project’s team to assess progress and solve problems
○ Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
3. Budget Management:
○ Develop and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and prepare financial reports.
○ Identify opportunities for cost savings
○ Prepare project status reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders and Senior leadership meetings.
○ Oversee project budgeting and cost control and manage change orders to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
○ Maintain comprehensive project records, including contracts, permits, and compliance documentation.
