JOB DESCRIPTION
Project Manager PMO
The Program Management Office (PMO) with our autonomous client is responsible for driving cross-functional program planning and execution at the highest level. We partner with leaders from across the company in vehicle development, system design, software engineering, manufacturing, fleet operations, and business functions to develop and deliver major corporate milestones on the path to launch, and beyond.
The Project Manager (PM) is a seasoned project management and collaboration expert with a strong executive presence. They will be responsible for supporting PMO’s weekly executive decision-making forums and company-wide program reviews. This detail-oriented individual will streamline our processes and drive consistency in our forums across our Robot Platform, AI, and Service & Ops domains. This person will work cross-functionally with various functional leaders, workstream Program Managers, and other Program Managers to ensure the right quality of content is brought into our forums and drive closure on resulting actions to deliver company goals. PMO is an exciting, rapid, fast-paced environment as we drive progress on our path to launch, so this individual should be emphatically action-oriented and able to exude calm under pressure. Additional ad hoc support initiatives will be discussed week to week based on the individual’s bandwidth for domain-specific programs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and organize content for weekly forums
- Supporting program level communications which include presentations, reports and related forums.
- Take notes and track action items to completion
- Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments
- Managing Confluence pages and ensuring they are updated
Qualifications
- BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting with a focus on product launches and/or validation and testing
- Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills are a must
- Experience working in and preparing material for executive-facing forums and reviews
Bonus Qualifications
- PMP or equivalent
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, test platforms, simulation, and/or automotive or aerospace processes is highly desired
- Experience with developing and scaling strategy, processes, plans, procedures, reporting and handling escalations
- Strong references that highlight your ability to build strong working relationships with senior leaders, program managers, and engineers across functions and departments
