Overview
Are you passionate about investigating the fundamental questions of intelligence, knowledge, and understanding? As a Research Scientist, you will collaborate with internal and external researchers to develop software with human-level intelligence. You will be supported by a team of research engineers as you explore cutting-edge research areas and contribute to our mission of advancing artificial intelligence.
Research Areas of Interest
- Reinforcement Learning (RL) methods for Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Code verification and test generation
- Improvements to chain of thought processes
- Decoding time algorithms for LLMs

Responsibilities
- Research Leadership: Investigate fundamental questions of intelligence, knowledge, and understanding to develop human-level AI.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal and external researchers to advance our research goals.
- Mentorship: Mentor a small team of research engineers, guiding their development and contributions.
- Experimentation: Design and run machine learning experiments to test hypotheses and advance understanding in the research areas of interest.
- Communication: Clearly communicate research ideas and intuitions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Program Coordination: Create and coordinate a research program to address key research questions effectively.

- Accomplished Researcher: A highly accomplished machine learning researcher with a track record of high-quality papers at top conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR) or equivalent accomplishments in the industry.
- Research Question Design: Skilled at formulating research questions that clarify the nature of the problem and coordinating a program to answer them.
- Experimentation Expertise: Extremely comfortable designing and running machine learning experiments.
- Effective Communicator: Able to articulate ideas and intuitions clearly and effectively.
- Mentorship Ability: Excited to mentor and develop a small team of research engineers.
