Cardo Vacation Rentals is a fast growing short term rental management company based in San Diego, CA. We manage over 50 properties locally and have plans to expand in 2024 to Las Vegas, NV and central CA.
We are seeking a Reservation Sales Manager to assist with increasing our number of closed reservation leads. This primarily requires having a strong background in sales to close the incoming leads from online travel agencies.
The ideal candidate will have an exceptional work ethic, willing to go above and beyond at all times. Must have a positive attitude with an emphasis on teamwork in addition to critical problem-solving skills which require sound independent judgment.
Requirements
General Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the communications department
- Close incoming leads for guest reservations
- Act as a concierge to help trip plan, thereby securing the lead
- Organize and follow up with open leads
- Contact leads through any forms available - messaging, SMS, phone call, email
- Ensure accurate data entry and reservation processing
- Maintain a high level of customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues
- Smooth over guest complaints to prevent canceled bookings whenever possible
- Ensure 5-star reviews with every reservation
- Call every booked guest to thank them for choosing Cardo and ask how we can help them plan their stay. Call again after check-in to make sure everything is smooth, and at that time ask for a 5-star review.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Analyze reservation data and make informed decisions to increase bookings
- Stay up to date on market trends and competition to make strategic decisions
Close Leads: Reservations
- Track and respond personally to warm leads
- Develop a process for tracking and sharing leads
- Manage the leads inbox with a zero inbox mentality
- Manage and train Guest Comms team on appropriately responding to guest inquiries and issues
- Direct actions of Guest Comms team and assist with questions
- Establish an SOP for discounts for empowering team members to close leads
Ensure Listing Quality
- Review and approve all new listings built by our onboarding team. Check for accuracy, quality and completeness
- Update current listings to take full advantage of OTA algorithms
- Work closely with the Revenue Manager to understand our pricing strategy and provide valuable feedback
- Work with the Revenue Manager to decide on worthy new OTA channels and assist through implementation
Push New Growth Initiatives
- Take the lead on connecting additional technologies to our reservation software stack that will better our guest experience
- Add new booking channels to increase lead generation
- Build a program to target new guest profiles for increased occupancy during off-season. This may include group sales, corporate events, team lodging, construction worker lodging, travel nurses, 9-month student rentals, monthly rentals, etc.
Build an Independent Team
- Present opportunities for new hires that will improve efficiency. Specifically virtual assistants who can lighten your duties and focus on specific procedural tasks.
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of previous experience in reservation sales or reservations with short-term rentals role preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail a much
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Benefits
Rate of Pay: $70,000 annually
Schedule: 9am - 5pm Thursday through Monday
Hybrid: requires working in office at least 2 days per week with additional days for meetings as needed.
