We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our team. As a Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining the revenue module, supporting monthly close, and assisting with year-end audit. You will work closely with the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Drive and support revenue accounting process improvements for gathering data, accounting, and reporting.
- Prepare month-end journal entries, including revenue-based royalty accruals and intercompany recharges.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations and recommend resolutions for aged items.
- Support budgets and financial projections for financial statements, from revenues to operating margins and key balance sheet items.
- Assist with revenue recognition during month-end close, including reviewing contracts and reconciling deferred revenue.
- Support period-end close processes, including reconciling internal accounts, comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, preparing revenue and expense accruals, and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin, and expense information.
- Assist in calculating monthly revenue recognition on professional services projects.
- Provide customer support to clients and internal teams regarding billing-related inquiries.
- Provide support for both internal and external quarterly and year-end audit efforts.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Analytical and detail-oriented mindset
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Experience with SAP or other accounting software
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
