Full Job Description
We are looking for a sanitation worker to take care of our building and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. $19.25 per hour M-F 7am-3:30pm shift
As a vital part of our sanitation team, you will:
- Complete duties in accordance to all safety and sanitation standards
- Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, gardening, restroom cleaning etc)
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Sanitation experience, especially in the food industry
- Chemical awareness and handling
- Importance of using PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Knowledge of Good Warehousing or Manufacturing practices
- Able to follow schedules and fill out sanitation check list
- Team player but able to work independently as well
- Experience with Scissor lift or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets preferred
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish) a plus
Work Environment:
- Standing 60% of the time.
- Climbing\Walking 10% of the time.
- Sits down 30% of the time.
- Overtime required, as needed
- Walking around facility
- Rotating between freezer, cold rooms, and chill rooms
- Physical demands include walking, standing, bending over, crouching, pushing, repetitive use of both hands and able to lift 50lbs
