Full Job Description

Our client, a world-renowned biotechnology company, is seeking an experienced and visionary SAP Testing Director to lead and oversee the testing processes across global business operations. This high-level position requires a deep understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) within the Life Sciences industry. The SAP Testing Director will ensure that all validation activities are conducted with precision and compliance, resembling the responsibilities of a project manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for all SAP testing and validation activities across global operations.
  • Validation Oversight: Ensure that Computer System Validation (CSV) activities for SAP systems across all plants and sites are performed accurately and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Project Management: Act as the lead project manager for validation projects, coordinating resources, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement standardized testing methodologies, best practices, and protocols to enhance validation efficiency and compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of validation specialists and testers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership, IT, Quality Assurance, and Plant Operations to align validation activities with business objectives.
  • Compliance Assurance: Working knowledge on end-to-end validation of GxP applications and can perform document/process Compliance Analysis Adept with Agile and Waterfall methodology-based software development. Ensure all validation activities adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in validation processes and develop mitigation strategies to address them effectively.
  • Audit Support: Lead and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and evidence of compliance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on validation activities, outcomes, and metrics to senior management.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP testing and validation within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • CSV Expertise: Deep understanding of Computer System Validation (CSV) principles and practices in a regulated environment.
  • S/4 HANA Knowledge: Strong understanding of S/4 HANA platform.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a global, matrixed organization. Experience managing testers and functional teams to deliver complex projects.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with experience in managing large-scale validation projects.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in executing and overseeing validation activities.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex validation challenges.
  • Certifications: SAP testing and/or project management certifications desired.
