RoseRyan is a highly respected accounting consulting firm specializing in providing tailored advisory services to companies of all sizes.
We are currently seeking an experienced SEC Technical Accountant to join our team. As an SEC Technical Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' compliance with SEC reporting requirements and providing expert guidance on complex accounting matters.
Responsibilities:
- Process workbooks and data to support for manager.
- Ensure compliance with SEC reporting requirements, including the preparation and review of periodic financial statements and footnotes.
- Research and interpret accounting regulations, including US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations, to provide guidance on accounting and reporting matters.
- Prepare and review technical accounting memos to document and support accounting positions and conclusions.
- Assist clients with complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, business combinations, and debt and equity transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external auditors, legal counsel, and financial reporting teams, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay updated on emerging accounting and reporting pronouncements and assess their impact on client financial statements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting, with a focus on SEC reporting.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Workiva or other similar systems experience.
- Experience with complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition and business combinations.
- Strong research and analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
$80-$90/hr DOE
