As a Production Senior Accountant (TV/Film), you will be responsible for handling bookkeeping of accounting record for our app, ReelShort, prepare financial statements, tax reporting for production team, monitoring the PEX system. The ideal candidate will have TV film production accounting experience and is bilingual with proficiency in Mandarin and English. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best establish an accounting team.
Requirements
- Handle accurate bookkeeping of the accounting record for each short video series for ReelShort.
- Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure the accuracy of all financial and tax reporting activity
- Responsible for proper communication and integration with the studio Management and Finance Department Head
- Prepare financial statements in a timely and accurate manner
- Research, design, and consistently improve studio's financial transparency and project-based accounting, for example, help studios to upgrade to a more consistent and efficient finance system
- Regular monitoring of the PEX system (Prepaid card system)
- Understanding of TV/ film production accounting is a plus
- Maintain strong communication and collaborate with China-based finance team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- Designation: CPA Preferred
- At least 3 years' experience in accounting for TV or film production teams
- Must be proficient in Mandarin and English (Read & Write)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience working in a start-up is an asset
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hybrid work environment
- Ability to report on-site at the Sunnyvale headquarters
