The Airside and Terminal Operations department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Airside Operations Duty Manager. The selected candidate will hold a pivotal role, overseeing the Safety Management System and ensuring safety regulations. They will collaborate with stakeholders to foster airport safety and maintain airside operations. In addition to managing the day-to-day airside operations, the selected candidate also;
- Oversees and implements the Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure compliance with aviation safety regulations and standards; identifies, analyzes, and mitigates safety risks associated with airside operations; develops and delivers safety training programs; coordinates incident reporting and investigation; collaborates with stakeholders to enhance safety practices and integrates safety data analysis for continuous improvement.
- Clarifies responsibilities, assigns work and establishes expectations; delivers presentations; evaluates and implements programs, systems and procedures; responsibilities require flexibility to work rotating and shifts including weekends, holidays and night shifts; performs other duties as assigned.
- Manage, implement, and interpret airside mandates, regulations, and objectives. Ensure proper procedures for safety compliance and inspections. Participate and coordinate services for emergency situations consistently with FAR part 139 and part 77 program, mandates, and standards.
- Manage safety programs and maintenance of airfield, taxiways, airside, signs, markings, obstructions, lighting, airfield, disabled aircraft recovery, fueling, gate schedule, remain-overnight, aircraft parking, and spill prevention. Works closely with stakeholders to manage aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) contract. Oversees wildlife management, and least tern conservation efforts. Monitors airfield driver training.
- Advance partnership and interacts with stakeholders; collaboratively determine course of action to realize resolutions, facilitate projects; issue NOTAMs; communicates operational airfield advisory, and airfield escort, resolve issues, and facilitate decision-making, implementation, and acceptance of programs and contractual activities.
- Participate in opportunities to develop or streamline programs, practices, documents, budgets; reports, data, budgets and airport infrastructure; advances currency with industry and regulatory trends; responsibilities require flexibility to work rotating and shifts including weekends, holidays and night shifts; performs other duties as assigned.
- Participates in selection and onboard of team members; supervises, provides feedback and coaches for performance; fosters collaborative relationships and inclusion work environment.

Requirements
· Graduation from a *four-year college or university with a degree in Aviation Management, or a related field;
· Five years of large or medium airport operations experience;
· Equivalent combination of training and experience;
· California Class C driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the Authority’s vehicle insurance policy.
*American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), AAE, ASC or ACE OPS/SMS certification may be substituted for the educational requirement.

The hiring salary for the Senior Airside Operations Duty Manager is $107,315.
The pay Range for the Senior Airside Operations Duty Manager is $82,550 to $132,080.
