Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Family Law Attorney to join our client's team. The ideal candidate must-have experience in family law and a strong track record of managing complex cases, including those involving high-net-worth clients. This role involves preparing declarations of disclosure, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and providing expert legal advice. You will collaborate with clients and other attorneys, supervise junior attorneys, and ensure the highest standards of legal practice.
This role is a remote role that requires residency in California and the ability to attend trials as needed.
Requirements
Senior Family Attorney, Responsibilities:
- Draft and complete declarations of disclosure as required by family law cases.
- Create and review legal documents such as stipulations and marital settlement agreements.
- Offer expert legal guidance to clients on family law matters.
- Work with clients, their partners, and opposing attorneys to negotiate and finalize agreements.
- Stay current with family law statutes and regulations through ongoing legal research.
- Examine complex financial documents, including tax returns, financial statements, and corporate records.
- Ensure accurate and organized management of client files and documentation.
- Provide support to other attorneys and supervise two family law attorneys.
Minimum Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the California State Bar and in good standing.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing family law.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines.
- Deep knowledge of family law statutes, regulations, and legal principles.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to client confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Experience with high-net-worth clients and complex financial arrangements.
Preferred Requirements:
- Certified Family Law Specialist.
