Job Summary:

Cedars of Marin provides day programs and residential opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities. Founded in 1919, our exceptional person-centered programs nurture creative, productive, joyful, and healthy lives.

Cedars Textile Art Collaborative (TAC) offers Cedars clients a diverse, fun, creative day program environment. We are currently looking for an exceptional Senior Program Supervisor to lead this amazing TAC program! In this role, you will work with the Director and Assistant Director.

As the Senior Program Supervisor, you will be a part of the TAC management team and will provide support and direction to the Senior Program Instructors. You will be responsible for the general oversight of the day-to-day operations, planning and management of the Senior Program, including selecting creative techniques, designs, projects and outings, suited for participants' individual strengths and interests.

The TAC Program is set on 22 acres overlooking San Anselmo. The property includes a community garden, art barn studio space, upgraded kitchen, weaving studio and more!

The hours are M-F, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The rate of pay is $28.00/hour.

Requirements

  • 3 years of full-time experience working with / supporting older adults with developmental disabilities.
  • A strong desire to help others to lead positive, productive, independent lives.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well as a group leader or as part of a team of leaders, and the ability to motivate others.
  • Proven skills and knowledge of various Arts and Crafts specialties.
  • Flexibility in varied job assignments and a willingness to pitch in when/where needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to pass an employment physical including a TB test, and to meet the physical requirements of the job.
  • A valid DMV driver's license, a minimum of 3 years of driving experience, and a willingness to drive a passenger van.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications or the willingness to acquire both.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with the FBI and DOJ.
  • Kindness, patience and a good sense of humor are helpful!
