We are currently seeking a Senior Sound Designer to elevate our audio experiences and redefine quality and innovation in our games.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead multiple facets of sound design, including the crafting, editing, blending, and incorporation of sound effects, ensuring they resonate with the game's vision.
- Partner with the audio, design, and engineering teams to refine and innovate audio pipelines and systems.
- Engage cross-functionally to set the sonic direction and bolster audio excellence.
- Test, debug, and streamline audio channels and systems.
- Author and update documents related to audio processes.
- Enrich the knowledge pool through active sharing and learning.
- Engage with external audio partners when essential.
Requirements
- Over 6 years of professional exposure showcasing adeptness in technical sound design and incorporation.
- At least 2 titles credited on console, PC, or VR platforms.
- Proficiency in in-game audio amalgamation using Wwise in tandem with Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
- Versatility in sculpting diverse SFX, spanning from lifelike to abstract sounds.
- Adeptness in Foley recording and creation.
- Competence with mainstream audio tools like Reaper, Nuendo, Pro Tools, Sound Forge, and more.
- Mastery over mixing, loudness assessment, and ultimate audio refinement.
- Comprehensive knowledge of interactive music composition, editing, and mastering.
- Ease in voice talent recording and direction.
- Autonomy, multitasking ability, and organizational skills.
- A proactive, concentrated, and goal-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication and collaborative abilities.
Pluses:
- Prior experience with Wwise and Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
- Familiarity with Wwise's interactive musical instruments and UE5's MetaSounds.
- Experience in VR/AR domains.
- Credits on IP-driven titles.
- Knowledge of performance capture, VO recording, and localization channels.
- Acquaintance with 3D spatial audio formats, such as binaural and ambisonic.
- Experience in 5.1 and 7.1 surround mixing for both games and linear media.
- Exposure to programming, scripting, or UE Blueprint functionalities.
- Proficiency in Reaper and Sound Forge tools.
- A Bachelor's degree in Music Technology, Audio Engineering, or equivalent professional expertise.
