We are looking for a Senior Sourcing Director responsible for driving material availability, quality and cost within the America regions. This is a business critical role in building the capabilities for the future growth working with Supply Chain teams in the Finland & US, engineering teams and suppliers.
What you will do:
Sourcing Strategy
- Drive the creation of sourcing strategy and tactics aligned with the company strategy. Actively lead, maintain and monitor sourcing projects roadmap.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery.
- Research and evaluate alternate sources of supply.
- Communicate opportunities with cross functional teams and make recommendations for alternate suppliers, designs, and materials to reduce costs.
- Ensure timely procurement of all assigned goods, materials, and services to drive optimal manufacturing capacity utilization.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, fostering an accountable, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the development and performance of the sourcing team, ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth.
Supplier Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Negotiate and manage complex business agreements and contracts, both domestic and international, to achieve the best value of the company.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, production, logistics, quality assurance, and finance, to align sourcing activities with overall business objectives.
- Actively participate in new product development and manage the purchasing activities involved with initial phases of new product qualification and introduction.
Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities to streamline sourcing processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the sourcing budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement.
- Analyze and report on sourcing metrics and KPIs to senior management.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and value-engineering projects.
This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in San Diego.

- Extensive experience in international sourcing, contract manufacturing, and engineering.
- Strong understanding of product technologies, manufacturing processes, cost components, capacity elements, and quality factors.
- Proficient in terms and conditions of purchasing agreements with a proven track record in contract negotiations.
- Ability to travel internationally as well as domestically to support sourcing and operational initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational development skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with hybrid and international teams.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
- Region 1: $187,000.00 - $220,000.00
- Region 2: $178,000.00 - $209,000.00
- Region 3: $168,000.00 - $198,000.00
