We are looking for our first Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Operations team in San Diego, California. In this role, you are located at the crossroads of Oura Manufacturing, R&D, and Supply Chain. You navigate smoothly between several aspects of supplier quality engineering, from analyzing highly specified measurement details, to participating in creating long term strategies to help continuously improve the Oura Supply Chain through well planned and executed supplier quality processes and part control characteristics.
You will plan, develop and implement measurement methods, control plans, and other supply quality engineering processes to help ensure the part and product quality - all the way from concept phase through high volume mass production in a complex, global scale Supply Chain setup. You gather and analyze part specific supplier quality data, and utilize it to improve the processes, parts and ultimately the Oura products. You are leading the implementation of the planned supplier quality processes throughout Oura supply base. You communicate the plans and results of your work effectively, clearly and promptly.
What you will do:
- Establish yourself throughout the multi-functional Oura teams as a supplier quality engineer
- Team up with your key contacts in mechanics, electronics and operations teams to create and drive Oura supply quality engineering efforts
- Develop and implement sufficient quality processes and metrics throughout Oura Supply Chain and final assembly factories
- Gather, combine and evaluate quality data to analyze and steer appropriate quality limits and variables for part and process specifications
- Balance superior supplier quality, process development, control and scalability through essential process limits
- Function as a supplier quality engineering authority in Oura product programs
Requirements
We would love to have you on our team if you have:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in supplier quality engineering / process development or related field
- Experience in working with final assembly factories and mechanical enclosures and/or electronics Supply Chain
- Experience in supplier quality engineering in high volume hand held / wearable and/or consumer products
- Experience with parts and processes for cosmetic / high visual quality products
- Self-driven and forward-looking attitude
- Willingness to travel to Mexico and Finland, up to 50%

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates’ pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. This range may be modified in the future.
