Senior UX Designer - Hardware
Lead Product Experience Designer; USA (East or West Coast based)

The Role
You will join our client’s design studio and support their Gaming Design Team. You will report to the Head of UX for and collaborate within the multi-disciplinary gaming group to provide hands-on support for gaming hardware and software product initiatives.
As a Lead UX Designer for our client, you will
- Identify, iterate, and deliver world-class interactions that ensure all touchpoints are intuitive and empower our gamers across our hardware and software environment.
- Create and bring to market the physical and digital product experience vision with the support of our multifunctional team.
- Collaborate and represent the experience discipline's expertise in a broader context across design disciplines, including Industrial Design, Color, Material, Finish Design, and Customer Insights. Confidently guide a team with a solid vision and concepts that lead them to resolve complex design problems.
- Play an active role in developing the design discipline at large and influence the course of the organization.
- Socialize, initiate, and drive the processes, collaborations, negotiations, and delivery of our experiences with key stakeholders.
- Work across global time zones and collaborate effectively asynchronously in our hybrid organization.
A Lead UX Designer is
- An expert who understands the big picture and anticipates the needs and challenges of the team.
- An independent leader with ample experience determining design objectives and approaches.
- An effective communicator who can craft a strategic product story and deliver it confidently to all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable in ambiguous territory where design hasn't historically been.
Requirements
Key Qualifications
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our client’s team:

- Experience in Design, Human Factors, HCI/HRI, Interaction Design, or related experience in UX design roles focusing on product interactions.
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design process that proves not only solid design skills but forward-thinking solutions
- Well-versed in user-centered design methods and techniques in a multidisciplinary product development environment.
- Understand the latest development tools, technologies, and processes and best use them depending on project needs.
- Proficient skills in concept generation, visualization, and rapid prototyping
- Recognized leadership skills and strong ability to lead by influence.
- The best candidates will be curious, insightful, collaborative, and creative.
