Full Job Description
To provide quality management and psychotherapeutic services to adult psychiatric patients and their families. To serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization and program or unit philosophy of care. To ensure the safety and well-being of each patient.
*Pay Range: $30/hr. to $46/hr.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
• Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patients and their family members.
• Provides group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conducts educational and other didactic groups for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.
• Attends regular treatment team meetings as needed to provide the social work perspective to total interdisciplinary team.
• Coordinates with case managers to impart pertinent information on cases garnered by patient interaction in groups, during PSA’s or individual interactions.
• Conducts 1:1 patient check ins and participates in creation and review of treatment plan updates and goal setting with patient, as needed.
• Reports to community/state agencies any patient issues as required by law for mandated reporting.
• Provides backup service for incoming assessment and referral call.
• Utilizes trauma informed care approach to assist with patient de-escalation and crisis intervention, as needed.
• Provides clinical insight and feedback to Social Services department interns and aids in their development. Supports interns with co-facilitating group therapy sessions.
• Assists Director of Social Services with special assignments, as needed
Requirements
Required Education and Experience
• Master’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent master degree
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR)
• Knowledge of acute adult psychological disorders
• Knowledge of acute adolescent psychological disorders
Preferred Education and Experience
• Licensure or working towards Licensure
• Experience in an acute psychiatric healthcare setting
