Full Job Description
The Software Engineer I, Alpha Informatix will help develop new features for the SafeOp system as part of the Alpha Informatix platform. This includes active participation in all stages of the software development life cycle, including sustaining. Projects will include, but not be limited to, .Net applications and frameworks and embedded systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement Applications and Frameworks targeting the Windows platform using C# and .Net Core.
- Write Unit Tests.
- Perform duties with an attention to detail and a sense of task ownership.
- Excellent grasp of OOP and SOLID principles
- Work with multi-discipline teams on proof of concept utilizing and integrating embedded systems.
- Perform integration and system level testing of software and software/hardware systems.
- Perform task estimation and develop software projects according to project plan.
- Provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on project status.
- Develop documentation related to software development projects (design artifacts, test plans/cases, etc.)
- Collaborate and work effectively with globally distributed teams.
Requirements

- 2+ years of experience programming in .NET languages (C# preferred)
- Write modular, secure, and well tested front-end code (WPF), middle-tier services (C#), and persistent layer (SQL/NoSQL)
- Knowledge of the Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF), such as Routing (Events, Commands), Data Binding
- Experience with Prism framework a plus.
- Experience in Dependency Injection.
- Experience with and understanding of .Net Framework/Core applications.
- Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (EF, NHibernate)
- Proficiency with source code repository and familiarity with CI/CD process/tools (such as GIT, Azure DevOps
- Proficiency with Unit test frameworks (i.e., xUNIT, nUNIT, etc.)
- Experience with C++ is a plus.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Java Script, etc.) a plus
- Experience with developing software of Medical Devices (IEC 62304) a plus
- Creative and resourceful analytical person with ability to take the big picture into account.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Education and Experience
- 2+ years of experience developing Windows applications in a regulated industry (Medical, Automotive, Aerospace, etc.)
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.

Salary Range
Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $82,000 to $92,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
