Software Engineer I, Mobile

The Software Engineer I, Alpha Informatix will help develop new features for the SafeOp system as part of the Alpha Informatix platform.  This includes active participation in all stages of the software development life cycle, including sustaining.  Projects will include, but not be limited to, Java/Android applications and frameworks and embedded systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement Applications and Frameworks targeting both iOS and Android
• Design and implement software application software in Flutter
• Perform integration and system level testing of software and software/hardware systems
• Perform task estimation and develop software projects according to project plan
• Provide proactive, transparent, and concise communication on project status
• Develop documentation related to software development projects (design artifacts, test plans/cases, etc.)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of software development experience
• Experience with and solid understanding of Android Studio, XCode, and consuming APIs
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience with scripting languages (such as Python, Java Script, etc.)
• Experience with developing software of Medical Devices (IEC 62304) a plus
• Creative and resourceful problem solver with ability to take the big picture into account
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Education and Experience

• 2+ years of Mobile experience
• Experience in Flutter highly desired
• Experience with C# and Xamerin a plus
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred

Salary Range

Alphatec Spine, Inc. complies with state and federal wage and hour laws and compensation depends upon candidate’s qualifications, education, skill set, years of experience, and internal equity. $90,000 to $95,000 Full-Time Annual Salary
