Job description
Sorting Robotics Inc. is seeking a Software Support Technician to join our team. As a Software Support Technician, you will provide technical support and assistance to our customers regarding our software products.
Preferred: Must be comfortable with cannabis (preferred you enjoy it and have experienced it) as we manufacture robotic innovations for the legal cannabis market in the US and Canada.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responding to customer inquiries and requests for technical support via phone, email, or chat.
- Troubleshooting software issues and providing step-by-step instructions to resolve problems.
- Logging and keeping track of customer issues and resolutions in our support ticketing system.
- Collaborating with the software development team to identify and resolve software bugs and defects.
- Providing product demonstrations and conducting training sessions for customers.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of product documentation and knowledge base articles.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest software updates and releases.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues
- Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards
- Document software functionality and maintain technical documentation
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development, including proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
- Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques and tools.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of DNS (Domain Name System) and its role in web applications
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience level:
- 1 year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed
