Job Description: As our Senior Accounting Manager, you will lead the financial helm of our organization, ensuring that our accounting operations and financial strategies are as innovative and forward-thinking as our products. Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation of detailed financial statements, ensuring they comply with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial data to predict future trends and report on the same to influence the company’s strategic direction.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute sophisticated financial strategies that align with the company’s long-term business goals.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure fiscal discipline and financial growth.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization (i.e., evaluation of potential alliances, investments, and/or mergers and acquisitions).
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to manage financial risk.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
- Advise management on needed actions and potential financial implications.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and expand a team of enthusiastic finance professionals; recruit, train, and mentor team members.
- Create a dynamic team environment that encourages innovation and accountability.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.
- Innovation and Process Improvement:
- Implement new business processes and accounting policies to strengthen and streamline financial operations.
- Explore and integrate technological advances and tools to optimize financial reporting and analytics.
- Drive initiatives in the finance team that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Experience:
- At least 8 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within a high-tech or related industry.
- Proven experience in financial modeling and analysis, budget management, and compliance.
- Skills:
- Exceptional analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, preferably with knowledge of software common in the tech industry.
Benefits
Compensation:
- Salary: $185,000 - $235,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
