We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Manufacturing Engineer who wants to get involved with a small, fast-paced, and dynamic company. You will be a key member of our Manufacturing Organization and will be responsible for manufacturing processes involving planning, design, implementation, validation, and production.
Requirements
- Must-have direct experience facilitating the full cycle from new product introduction to manufacturing process set-up and production process optimization.
- Previous experience supporting manufacturing at Electronics Contract Manufacturing sites
- Excellent communication with all levels; collaboration, organizational and prioritization skills
- Proven experience defining, developing, and implementing test strategies for electronic manufacturing
- Proven experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing as part of a cross-functional team
- Demonstrated experience in fast-paced iterative design environments of high-speed digital processing electronic products and associated software, familiarity with RF products a plus
- Proven ability in communicating project status and updates across departments and disciplines
- Ability to interface well with Product Development Engineering resources
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Effective communicator able to work independently and in teams
- Demonstrated experience using electronic test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, frequency generator, spectrum analyzers, DMM)
- Proven experience in performing root cause analysis and then coherently presenting results
- Demonstrated deep understanding of DFT and DFM methods
- Proven ability in reviewing and evaluating engineering changes, drawings, and BOM
- Experience with Product Life Cycle Management systems such as Arena, Agile, or similar products
- Demonstrated experience with reviewing hardware designs to define test coverage
Responsibilities
- Integrate testing strategies into the manufacturing process to ensure that products meet technical specifications and performance strategies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and execute test plans and support the validation and verification testing in Production.
- Clearly communicate status using the established collaboration tools
- Create clear and concise Manufacturing Assembly and test procedures
- Own the workstream of the Manufacturing project plan; responsible for adjusting, revising documents, procuring components for manufacturing and test validation.
- Perform manufacturing engineering assignments associated with the integrity of product design to assure quality and cost-effective production.
- Advise engineering of existing production capabilities, equipment, facilities, and standard practices to contribute to the development of designs; coordinate with support groups to ensure capabilities and capacity are developed to support new products.
- Ensure efficient and effective manufacturing through meeting the quality, cost, operating specification, and customer/company standard requirements. Applies DBS to improve production processes and achieve cost reduction.
- Plan, define and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions.
- Ensure design producibility. Refine, modify, or provide input into applications, processes, and devices as required to meet manufacturing and test requirements. Analyze data, evaluate, and implement improvements to meet contract/schedule/quality requirements.
- Contribute to generation of manufacturing schedules that meet program schedule milestones
- Work independently or in a team environment to resolve program issues using data- based root cause analysis; diligently applies firm corrective actions.
- Demonstrate the ability to organize information, job tasks, and manage time for most efficient and "best value" performance.
Education / Experience
- Minimum requirement: BS EE
- MS EE or MS CS is a plus
- 5+ years of professional experience in electronics manufacturing.
