POSITION OVERVIEW
Kate Farms, the #1 plant-based formula, is seeking a dedicated and motivated Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will perform various accounting functions, such as preparing financial statements, preparing journal entries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting in month-end and year-end close processes. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. Kate Farms is committed to providing high-quality nutrition products and improving lives, and the Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in achieving these goals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Assist in developing and improving accounting policies and procedures.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and analytical.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- High degree of urgency and attention to detail.
- Utmost level of honesty and integrity and maintains confidentiality.

This position will work in a home/office environment with occasional trips to the corporate office or other meeting locations. Requires 10% travel.

If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, NYC, or California, the following information may not apply. The hourly rate for this position ranges between $67,000-85,000k. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Kate Farms salary range for this position. This range will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, internal pay
