Full Job Description

Resource Innovations is seeking a dynamic Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our growing team in California. As a Manager at Resource Innovations, your primary responsibility is to create and manage a network of "aggregators", who are project developers that can identify and execute projects with high value for energy efficiency and demand response programs. In this role, you will need to establish strong relationships with aggregators, increase awareness of energy efficiency and load reduction projects, and ultimately drive total energy system benefit outcomes. To excel in this position, you must be an expert in stakeholder engagement, possess experience in the energy efficiency sector, and have a passion for fostering partnerships that can create value for our organization and the communities we serve.  You will be part of a team of leaders who work together to provide innovative energy solutions that promote sustainability and grid reliability. Our main goal is to partner with businesses to deliver programs that enhance energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed energy resources. By doing so, we aim to create value for our clients and the environment.

Resource Innovations (RI) is a women-led energy transformation firm focused on impact. Building on our expertise in energy efficiency, we’re constantly expanding our portfolio of clean energy solutions to guide utilities through increasingly complex, connected challenges. Load flexibility. Electrification. Carbon reduction. With every step, we’re leading the charge to power change.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Network Development: Proactively identify, recruit, and onboard high-potential aggregators capable of delivering impactful energy projects.
  • Aggregator Management: Maintain strong relationships with aggregators, providing ongoing support, guidance, and training on program requirements, best practices, and available resources.
  • Program Education and Outreach: Increase awareness of the program, its benefits, and participation opportunities amongst potential aggregators within the targeted geographic region.
  • Project Facilitation: Collaborate with aggregators to understand project proposals, assess feasibility, ensure compliance with program guidelines, and streamline the application and approval process.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor aggregator performance, project progress, and energy savings. Produce regular reports to analyze trends, identify areas for improvement, and inform program strategy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams (e.g., Program Operations, Engineering, Marketing) to ensure alignment between aggregator activities and overall program success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy efficiency industry, with a focus on energy efficiency project development, demand response, and/or distributed energy resources.
  • Proven success in building and managing collaborative partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and demand-side management technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working with utilities or other energy program implementors.
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization for reporting purposes.

Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on candidate's qualifications. Resource Innovations also offers three weeks paid vacation per year, paid holidays, a 401(k) plan with employee matching funds, a discretionary bonus and an overall comprehensive benefits package.
