Full Job Description
The Student Support Specialist (SSS) will be placed at a San Pablo elementary school to work with students 1:1 and in small groups to promote academic success, positive behavior, and social-emotional skill-building. The SSS will report directly to the Community School Director and be an important member of the site wellness team.

- Part time: 25 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 5 hours/day

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish/ English
Responsibilities
- Help students focus on and participate in instructional activities while in the classroom.
- Conduct small group tutoring sessions.
- Maintain a caseload of students for 1:1 mentoring.
- Facilitate small group interventions based on identified needs (ie. anger management, social skill development, etc.)
- Conduct restorative justice mediations as needed to resolve student conflicts.
- Outreach with parents as needed for consents and partnership.
- Maintain casenotes and submit monthly progress reports.
- Support school site as needed with arrival/dismissal duties
- Weekly/ Bi-Weekly meetings with Community School Director
