Full Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Tax Manager to join our esteemed client's CPA team. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple operations of the tax practice area, delivering quality tax services, and increasing the firm's reputation. You will serve as a business advisor to their clients, aiming to maximize engagement and achieve qualitative outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or review federal, state, local, and special tax returns by collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements; advise management on necessary actions.
- Communicate with partners, staff, clients, attorneys, bankers, tax authorities, or any associated agent to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting.
- Prepare and/or review financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintain professional standards and technical knowledge through workshops, seminars, publications, personal networks, and professional societies.
- Stay current on general economic and political trends impacting tax legislation and the business climate.
- Contribute to the overall success of the firm by promoting efficient execution and cultivating positive client relationships.
- Actively participate in professional, civic, or charitable organizations to promote the firm's reputation.
- Manage assigned book of business within budgeted revenue and realization expectations.
- Develop and coach staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Tax Manager - 5 years within a CPA firm in a supervisory position
- Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
- Knowledge of tax software and MS Office
- Strong leadership and personnel management skills
- Analytical skills with attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Active CPA
- Exceptional client service ability and strong communication skills
- Willingness to travel locally on a limited basis
- Eligible to work for any employer in the United States
