Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid Schedule)
Overview: We are looking for a skilled Trusts and Estates Attorney to join an exciting firm in Los Angeles. This role involves managing cases from start to finish, including drafting motions and discovery documents, conducting depositions, preparing for trials, and representing clients in court. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee estate litigation cases throughout all stages, ensuring thorough preparation and effective representation.
- Prepare and submit motions, discovery requests, and various legal documents.
- Conduct depositions and guide clients and witnesses during trial preparations.
- Actively participate in court appearances and trial settings, presenting cases with confidence.
- Maintain open lines of communication with clients, providing regular updates and support.
- Work closely with colleagues to share strategies and insights that enhance case outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited top-tier law school.
- Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- A minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in both state and federal courts; probate litigation experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to engage effectively with clients.
- Excellent research and drafting skills, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and dependable, with a proven ability to follow through on tasks.
- A collaborative team player who is invested in both personal and firm growth.
- Familiarity with local court rules and procedures in Los Angeles County.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfortable with technology, including document management and timekeeping systems.
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, up to $300,000.
