Tutor, ELA & Study Skills, Atherton, CA,

TPAPT, a national consortium of over 12,000 locally owned and operated Tutoring & College Advising Programs, is seeking motivated tutors and mentors to work with students in grades 6-9. Tutoring will include help with Study Skills plus middle school humanities.

You will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and is committed to helping students succeed.

Requirements

• You've earned a Bachelor's Degree
• You are certified in or have an excellent understanding of Special Education
• You are an experienced teacher or tutor of students in grades 6-9
• You have a background in Psychology, Social Work, or Life Coaching
• Familiarity with reading techniques such as the Linda Mood Bell and Orton Gillingham
• You have a flexible afternoon schedule
• You are comfortable working with students both in-person and remotely
• You have a passion for helping others learn

Benefits

• Sessions are 90 minutes
• Compensation between $30/hr-$50/hr commensurate
