Full Job Description
Position Overview:
CVNL is seeking a skilled Website Content and SEO Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our online presence. This individual will be responsible for updating content, design, and navigation across all our websites, conducting SEO and keyword analysis, monitoring and maintaining backend systems, and tracking and analyzing website performance metrics. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of SEO-optimized content creation, experience with WordPress and Elementor page builder, and proficiency in Figma for prototyping and workflow design. We are looking for someone meticulous with a keen eye for detail, who can deliver exceptional user experiences and optimize web pages for increased conversions. The ideal candidate will also be passionate about sharing and implementing SEO best practices, trends, and technologies to enhance the visibility and engagement of our WordPress-based websites.
Responsibilities:
Content Management:
- Manage a website content calendar to plan and schedule all content activities; ensure timely and accurate publication and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, create, and publish new content as needed.
- Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and tone across all backend platforms.
- Develop and implement content strategies to enhance user engagement and drive conversions.
Design and Navigation:
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications to implement website design updates and improvements.
- Optimize website navigation to enhance user experience and drive engagement.
- Conduct A/B testing to identify and implement effective design strategies.
- Use WordPress and Elementor page builder to add and update website content, ensuring a consistent and visually appealing layout.
SEO and Keyword Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify opportunities for improving search engine rankings.
- Implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies to increase website visibility and organic traffic.
- Monitor SEO performance metrics and industry trends and adjust strategies as needed to achieve goals.
Backend Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor website performance, uptime, and security to ensure smooth operation.
- Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Tracking and Analytics:
- Utilize web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) to track website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates. Use SEO tools to optimize rankings, website traffic, and user engagement.
- Generate regular reports and actionable insights to inform decision-making and optimize website performance.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions to maximize ROI.
Other Responsibilities:
- Attend and participate in regular CVNL staff meetings & events, as requested.
Expected Hours of Work/Travel:
This is a hybrid position with a home office located in San Rafael with minimal travel throughout the North Bay to support Special Events & CVNL Meetings. Standard Mileage Reimbursements apply. Ability to work occasional nights and weekends to support events/special projects. Standard business hours are 9am to 5pm.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing websites and implementing SEO strategies.
- Proficiency in WordPress and Elementor Page Builder.
- Strong knowledge of search engine optimization and advanced proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, etc.).
- Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Ads, and Microsoft Clarity.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work effectively with people of all ages from a wide variety of backgrounds.
- Passion for the CVNL mission and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field a plus.

Compensation:
The budgeted starting hourly rate that CVNL reasonably expects to pay is $38.81-$42.00 depending on prior experience. This takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, external market comparisons for similar positions in similar geographic locations and size. Offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.
