Seeking a passionate & committed Summer Youth Volleyball Coach(es) in Piedmont!
Earn great pay while leading a passionate and FUN youth volleyball camp in a fun outdoor park environment. The position is part-time and we are looking for a coach for the following camp weeks from 1pm-4pm:
– June 3rd – June 7th (ages 8-11)
– June 17th – June 21st (ages 11-14)
– July 8th – July 12th (ages 8-11)
– July 15th – July 19th (ages 11-14)
Do you love working with youth, teaching volleyball and wellness, and encouraging youth to have fun and grow? As a Summer Youth Volleyball Coach with ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars), you'll lead the execution of our 2024 volleyball outdoor summer camp in Piedmont. Your mission will be to make summer volleyball camp fun and positive for a group of 10-15 youth ages 8-14.
We provide all necessary training, equipment, and support. Being an ANTS Summer Camp Coach is a great way to develop leadership skills while serving our local community. And the pay is great!
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Camp Director to establish the week's curriculum and lead the curriculum to the students from 1-4pm daily during camp weeks
- Interact positively with parents, teachers, and other camp staff. Conduct the welcome and closing ceremonies each day.
- Show up on time with positive energy and lead a FUN & safe daily summer camp for kids ages 5-11
- Teach the FUNdamentals of volleyball through a cohesive and game-filled lesson plan.
- Ensure a safe and reliable program by arriving on time each week on your program day for the entire duration of the camp.
- Set up before and clean up after your program.
Location:
ANTS summer camps will run in Piedmont either at Coaches Playfield or Piedmont Middle School.
Schedule:
Our upcoming summer camp season runs Monday through Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm. You must be available for the entire season window:
- June 3rd – June 7th (ages 8-11) – Coaches Playfield
- June 17th – June 21st (ages 11-14) – Coaches Playfield
- July 8th – July 12th (ages 8-11) – Piedmont Middle
- July 15th – July 19th (ages 11-14) – Piedmont Middle
Requirements
- Transportation: Coaches must have reliable transportation to get to their coaching sites. You may be required to bring equipment to & from class, so a vehicle is very helpful.
- Responsible & professional: Arrive on time to each practice and keep accurate attendance. Interact with parents and school staff positively.
- Communication: You will communicate with ANTS, parents, and site staff through email and phone.
- Enthusiastic & fun: ANTS coaches are positive role models for our students. We expect that you share our deep beliefs in the larger themes we are promoting: sportsmanship, wellness, and positivity.
- Patience: Be a patient person who understands young children & their need to develop at their own pace.
- Experience: Experience as a player or coach (at least 2 years) is highly valuable, though not necessarily required.
- Background check: A successful candidate must pass a Federal & State Background Check and/or FBI Fingerprinting (Livescan) and test negative for TB test (within the last 4 years).
