As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Prescott's, Inc, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day operations and ensuring that all departments are working together efficiently to achieve business goals. You will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategic plans, improve operational processes, and drive overall business performance. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future direction of the company and ensuring its continued growth and success.
The COO will be responsible for the management and leadership of the Technical Services function across the organization with a particular focus on the Prescott’s and Arvana business lines. In addition, the incumbent will also be accountable for the improvement of core processes that result in improved product availability, quality, and improved cost and margin, which may also involve the additional coordination of Inventory, Procurement, Sales and R&D activities across the company.
A key deliverable will be the establishing and fostering of high performance across assigned services teams, including coaching and training of management staff on operational best practices.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the company's operational activities to ensure alignment with strategic goals and objectives
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels while ensuring product availability, including inventory control measures to reduce excess and obsolete inventory
- Provides leadership and direction to the technical services operations for the Prescott’s and Arvana business units
- Analyze and evaluate operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies
- Conduct cost analyses related to inventory management and recommended cost reduction strategies.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to align inventory levels with market demand.
- Develops short and long term space planning initiatives.
- Leads the implementation of ISO certifications and recertifications for all business units.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Foster collaboration and communication across various departments to achieve integration of operational functions.
- Establish goals for performance and report progress regularly to upper management.
- Assess operational risk and develop strategies to mitigate challenges.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Evaluates and optimizes technician services production, inventory, pricing and procurement processes across the services organizations.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute strategic plans that drive business growth and profitability.
- Implement and maintain effective systems and processes for risk management and compliance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices, like inventory, pricing and procurement, and identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years’ experience in a strategic, multi-site operations management role with a focus in inventory management, and demand planning and forecasting as well as facility planning in a growth environment.
- Experience with the medical device industry strongly preferred
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial management principles
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operational strategies and plans
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, coach and motivate teams
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
- Experience with data analytics and ERP systems, preferably Netsuite.
- Familiar with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards including ISO 13485 and ISO 14971.
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence and delivering results
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage competing priorities
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Ability to embrace change and lead organizational transformation initiatives

Salary: $200k - $250k annually
