Qualifications
- Assist with specific site development due diligence research to help identify development constraints that include, land use issues, utility availability, traffic impacts, easements, title exception documents, development fees, timing issues, project costs, and other development considerations that might affect the project.
- Coordinate with the DS Team Project Manager during the entitlement and permitting process with submittal package preparation and tracking for land development projects.
- Work alongside the DS Team Project Manager in preparing for public hearings, coordinating responses to various agencies, and generally representing the client’s interests to groups involved in the project.
- Coordinate with due diligence subconsultants to obtain proposals. Assists in tracking contracts, deliverables, and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist DS Team Project Manager with project tracking spreadsheet(s).
- Participate in permit expediting activities, permit submittals and tracking for site work, building, fire, health department, etc. including coordination with the various disciplines for required documents.
- Utilize Deltek for project setup and budget management.
- Knowledge of land development and entitlement processes.
- Able to and enjoys communicating and coordinating with other consultants and internal team members.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project is preferred.
- Understand client goals and use effective communication to help manage project schedules and budgets.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's in Real Estate, Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or other related field, or four years combined similar work-related experience specific to commercial and/or retail development.
Experience
- Typically, 2 to 4 years of experience with land development, entitlements, permit expediting. Municipal permitting/planning department/real estate industry paralegal experience preferred.
