Job Summary:

As an Industrial Welder at Gottstein Corporation, you will be crucial in performing precision welding tasks across a variety of materials with a particular focus on sanitary applications which is critical to our operations. The Sanitary Welder demands high levels of skills and adherence to stringent industry standards to ensure safety and efficacy in our welding processes.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute advanced sanitary welding operations, ensuring all work meets the stringent cleanliness standards required in sensitive industrial applications.
• Weld diverse materials with high precision on large-scale industrial projects, utilizing advanced techniques such as TIG, MIG, and arc welding.
• Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to accurately fabricate and assemble structural forms.
• Maintain and calibrate welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with all safety regulations.
• Conduct rigorous testing and inspection of welded surfaces and structures to ensure durability and compliance with all project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to assess welding requirements and develop strategic project plans.
• Ensure all welding activities are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations, including the use of appropriate PPE and safety gear.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentice welders and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven industrial welding experience, with a specialization in sanitary welding practices.
• Certified Welder qualification from a recognized body (e.g., AWS, CWB) with current certifications in various welding techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of different materials and the unique welding approaches required for each in an industrial setting.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks in a high-stress, high-temperature industrial environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance in all welding tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Experienced with all angles of welding, 1G to 6G.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or training capacity within an industrial welding context.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Advanced vocational training or degree in Welding Technology or a related field.
