Prescott's, Inc is a leading medical device company specializing in the refurbishment and distribution of surgical microscopes and other critical medical equipment. We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Device Parts and Inventory Technician to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be integral to our inventory management and parts sourcing processes. You will oversee the organization, tracking of medical device parts, ensuring that all components are readily available for assembly and refurbishment operations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be vital in maintaining our inventory systems, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain inventory of medical device parts and supplies.
- Oversee the effective management of inventory by conducting testing, determining disposition, and maintaining appropriate levels of finished goods stock.
- Enhance inventory management, assist with production needs, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure precise and prompt stock replenishment.
- Perform regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Organize and label parts for easy identification and access.
- Process incoming and outgoing inventory transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with assembly and refurbishment teams to ensure parts availability for production schedules.
- Implement and maintain best practices for parts storage and organization.
- Support quality assurance efforts by inspecting incoming parts for conformity to specifications.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in inventory management or in technical/mechanical roles, ideally within a medical device or manufacturing setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with medical device components is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn about new technologies and inventory systems.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry.
Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour
