SciTec, Inc. is a dynamic small business with the mission to deliver advanced sensor data processing technologies and scientific instrumentation capabilities in support of National Security and Defense. We support customers throughout the Department of Defense and U.S. Government in building innovative new tools to deliver unique world-class data exploitation capabilities.
SciTec is seeking an OPIR Mission Operations System Engineer for a portfolio of Agile software development programs executed from our Boulder, CO office with duties at Buckley Space Force Base.
Responsibilities
- Execute contract efforts to support operationally fielded software for OPIR Battlespace Awareness Center (OBAC) operators
- Implement strategies and coordinate with program leadership for conduct of Operational support activities
- Interface to relevant corporate teams in IT, facilities, and security to ensure program operations support needs are fulfilled
- Support Program Operations Transition manager in operational transition and certification activities
- Serve as the on-site program focal point for operational support requirements
- Manage 8x5 on-site support to operations, key duties include
- Train local team to support mission operations
- Supporting operators in resolving real-time software faults/restarts
- Interacting with program analysis team to conduct time-sensitive analysis of high-priority activities in coordination with Mission Operators
- Lead Ground mission processing anomaly resolution process by providing 24/7 on-call support with a 2-hour recall to the OBAC
- Contribute to program execution through system engineering support, process refinement, and document review
- Participate in technical exchange meetings with other programs to coordinate future integration efforts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, marketing, computer science, space operations or a related field
- 5+ years of US Government or industry experience operating Department of Defense (DoD) Space Programs
- Active DoD Final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Strong team-building, time-management, and conflict-resolution abilities
- Excellent written communication, briefing, and presentation skills
- Ability to interact, brief and develop positive relationships with both customer and company senior leadership
- Demonstrated proficiency leading execution for a medium-complexity system of programs
- Detail oriented
Candidates who have one or more of the following skills will be preferred
- Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) ground processing domain knowledge
- Experience with Agile principles (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban, etc)

The pay range for this position is $125,000 - $172,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
