Full Job Description
Auria is looking to hire a Network Engineer SME to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. The primary work location is in Colorado Springs, CO.
The candidate will serve as a Network Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) in this role. The candidate will be at the forefront of network design, helping solve complex technical problems, leading team members in technical execution, and helping train engineers with less experience. The candidate will work within an agile team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements. Apply extensive expertise to solve complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Responsible for helping junior engineers with tasks if needed. Perform Work without appreciable direction. May function in project leadership roles and represent the organization as prime customer contact on significant technical matters on contracts.
Essential Functions:
- Plan, deploy, integrate, and test upgrades to the C2BMC network to operational sites.
- Responsible for traveling to remote locations to lead and perform network installations, independently perform troubleshooting, and provide status updates to Program personnel.
- Create, maintain, and present KPIs and other metrics related to the Network Enterprise.
Basic Qualifications:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume.
- An active Secret clearance is required to start.
- 9 years with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field; 7 years' experience with a master’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field; or 13 years experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- Must have effective presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers and independently on large field projects.
- Must have Network Design & Development experience.
- Must know how to design, implement, and manage Network Management and Monitoring Systems.
- Must have extensive experience with networking protocols.
- Must have proven troubleshooting expertise.
- Must have experience planning and supporting the deployment of network infrastructure. Must have experience leading projects and training individuals on technologies.
- Must be able to travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret clearance is highly desired.
- Experience loading and modifying MIBS and SEED files, writing scripts for network automation, and developing fix-lets to be used with IBM BigFix to efficiently deploy updates to the fielded environment.
- JNCP or CCNP Certification.
- Prior C2BMC experience.
- Developing KPIs, tracking other metrics, and creating reports.
Salary Range:The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($124,000 - $137,000).
