We're looking for an Applications Migration Project Manager who will migrate three platforms to data centers over the next several months. We're looking for this role to manage an internally developed platform with shared application development. Some of these platforms are hosted and supported by third parties. This role is a Denver hybrid role requiring candidates to live in the Denver metro area and work some days on site and other days remotely each week. This position requires full visa authorization to work in the United States. This is a full time, short term consulting contract for several months and is eligible for 1099 pay model.
Responsibilities include:
- Migrate three platforms for multiple data centers
- Support and take direction from the senior leadership team
- Establish and and test processes for environment creation migrations
- Create a runbook deliverable for the migration
- Support SVP of IT with required input and information for development of strategy, implementation including testing
- Migrate Oracle Netsuite from one location to another
- Migrate Salesforce from one region to another
- Work with key stakeholders, define and manage tactical roll out of cloud migration
- Develop timelines and associated tasks using Gantt charts or similar
- Daily progress reporting to Technical leads and Stakeholders
- Provide weekly project updates, milestone tracking and KPI reporting
- Provide key updates to program team and all applicable technical stakeholders
- Manage technician tasks to ensure the project is delivered on time and on budget
- Work with key technical stakeholders to align with non-functional requirements
- Identify and manage risks associated with migration efforts including data loss, cross platform application integration, security and performance
- Monitor and evaluate progress, concerns and/or conflicts
- Ensure external customer and partner defined requirements are being satisfied
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years experience as consultant or in project/program manager roles
- Strong and proven project management skills to create, manage and deliver on large initiatives in a fast paced technology environment
- Familiarity with AWS environments and related tools such as S3, Lambda, SQS, Redis, etc
- Experience with cloud migrations is a necessary skill
- Experience with EKS, Pipelines, Terraform is preferred
- Knowledge of software, identity, and infrastructure concepts and practices such as IAM, VPC, MVC etc
- Proven QA knowledge and experience
- Technical writing and documentation skills are required
- Familiarity with API frameworks and other integration practices such as EDI
- Proven experience working with and integrating enterprise software systems such as Salesforce, ADP, Concur and Netsuite is preferred
- Experience with Bull MQ and/or Keycloak would be assets but not required skills
- Proven skill working with aggressive timelines in a ever changing environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable to change
- Sense of urgency to respond and deliver on key matters is expected
Compensation
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a short-term consulting engagement, with an hourly range of $80-90/hr. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
