Full Job Description
As a member of the company’s information technology team, the Senior Salesforce Developer is responsible for development, testing, and deployment of technology components. The position will participate in requirement specifications with the business, and will contribute to the overall design and implementation of the evolving enterprise Salesforce solutions. The Senior Salesforce Developer will be responsible for delivery, provide guidance to more junior software engineers and provide guidance related to best practices.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver innovative solutions that provide value to both internal and external end users
- Consult / partner with the business on current software and data priorities
- Document, calculate ROI and communicate proposed technology solutions
- Participate and lead in architecture and design discussions
- Follow and help define coding standards. Lead code reviews during projects to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed
- Comply and provide guidance with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology and governance strategies
- Utilize skills that span across disciplines and comfortably play different roles in more than just one area
- Working experience with Aura, LWC, APEX, Salesforce API and data structures
- Pivot easily within a constantly changing Agile environment and are comfortable with a high degree of change
- Familiar with source code, version management, and code deployment standards
- Work hand and hand with the Dev/Ops team to solidify and enhance our CI/CD pipelines
- Contribute to and modify automated test suite
- Troubleshoot software issues, data accuracy and performance issues
- Develop, maintain, monitor, and support technology solutions
- Promote and demonstrate the behaviors consistent with CoreSite’s culture and values
- Work on projects as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Responsibilities may require occasional evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment that consists of at least two days per week (including Tuesdays and Wednesdays for in-person team collaboration) in a downtown Denver office
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate at technical and business levels and to interact with people from all organizational levels
- Ability to analyze requirements, retrieve source data, and present accurate results in a timely manner
- Strong understanding and ability to apply best practices for gathering and documenting complete and detailed requirements
- Knowledge on different integration patterns
- Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness
- Knowledge on various asynchronous capabilities and its use cases
- Understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, and experience Clouds
- Understanding of systems architecture and ability to craft scalable solutions
- Strong ability to manually test and document work
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology or related studies highly preferred
- At least seven years of IT experience with a minimum of five years hands-on Salesforce development including:
- Salesforce DX and DevOps
- Salesforce Integration API (REST API, Pub/Sub API)
- Building Aura and LWC components
- SLDS and passion for UX/UI
- Salesforce customization, security controls, creating profiles, roles, users, record types, page layouts and email services
- SFDC administrative tools such as managing users, data management, domain management, generating reports, dashboards, communication templates, tasks and events is required
- Apex triggers on customized objects, writing Apex classes, Apex controllers and test classes
- Creating custom objects, custom tabs, flows, custom fields, picklist values, role- based page layouts, custom reports and report extractions to various formats
- Mulesoft Anypoint and SQL Server preferred
- SQL and SOQL
- Experience delivering in a variety of development frameworks (Scrum, Waterfall, Iterative, Kanban, etc.)
- Preferred Salesforce certifications:
- Salesforce Platform App Builder
- JavaScript Developer I
- Salesforce Platform Developer I
- Salesforce Platform Developer II (PDII)

Compensation:
Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $$100,000 and 135,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
