Overview
The Senior Account Manager at Howdy is a key player in our mission to make business personal in the B2B SaaS marketing space. This role is pivotal for driving strategic growth through deep client relationships and innovative marketing solutions. You will oversee the project and event coordinators who manage day-to-day campaign details, allowing you to focus on strategic initiatives, client problem-solving, and expanding business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Client Management and Account Expansion:
- Lead strategic client conversations, presenting innovative solutions and personalized marketing strategies that drive account growth.
- Maintain and deepen key relationships at mid-to-large and enterprise B2B companies, positioning Howdy as a crucial partner in their marketing success.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts to maximize client engagement and profitability.
- Leadership and Team Oversight:
- Provide overarching guidance to the Project and Event Coordinators, ensuring that all projects align with client expectations and Howdy's strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving, enabling team members to contribute to client solutions actively.
- Mentor team members in areas of client management, strategic problem-solving, and ensuring professional growth and operational excellence.
- Member of the Senior Leadership Team, along with Creative Director, CEO, and COO.
- Financial and Operational Management:
- Oversee the major budget items and financial tracking of projects to ensure profitability and compliance with internal and external benchmarks.
- Monitor the effectiveness of campaigns/events and adjust strategies to optimize results and client satisfaction.
- Act as a senior problem-solver, addressing and resolving client issues as they arise, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
Requirements
- Strategic Account Management: 5-7 years of account management experience managing large accounts, with a proven track record of strategic planning and account growth within the B2B tech sector.
- Client Relations: Exceptional ability to cultivate and sustain senior-level relationships, with a focus on developing strategic partnerships. You know how to dig deeper into conversations and get to the heart of unspoken client communications.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, with strong mentoring and coaching skills.
- Analytical Thinking: Proficient in using data to inform decisions, track performance, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to persuasively convey ideas and strategies.
- Adaptability: Able to navigate changing client needs and market dynamics, adjusting strategies and approaches as necessary.
- Innovation: A creative thinker who can generate novel ideas for client engagement and campaign improvement.
Travel Requirements
- US-based
- Flexibility to travel as needed for client meetings and strategic discussions at Howdy's HQ in Denver.
