Internship Overview: As an FHU intern, you will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in one of the following areas:
- Civil Engineering Design
- Construction Engineering
- Environmental Engineering
- Environmental Sciences
- Environmental Planning
- GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
- Structural Engineering
- Traffic Engineering
- Transportation Planning
- Water Resource Engineering

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, analysis, and planning of engineering projects.
- Participate in fieldwork, data collection, and analysis.
- Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation.
- Utilize software and tools relevant to your field of study.
Internship Qualifications:
- Undergraduate (Junior or higher status) or Graduate student in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in relevant software.
- Excellent mathematics, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability for a 3-month internship. (Approximately June - August)
Preferred Skills:
- Previous coursework in transportation, environmental studies, or a related field.
- Fieldwork experience is a plus.
- Working knowledge of and interest in transportation operations and planning.
Benefits
Starting salary is $23.00 hour.
