Full Job Description
Auria is actively seeking a Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Colorado Springs, CO, for the Wideband SATCOM Operations and Technical Support II (WSOTS II) contract. The ideal candidate will provide SME and operations support for WGS satellites and the Global SATCOM Configuration Control Element (GSCCE) for the United States Space Force. Occasional travel to government sites is expected with this position.
Primary Location: Wideband Watch Office, Peterson Space Force Base - Bldg 3

- Travel: 50%
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance, analysis, and informal training of WGS satellites and the GSCCE payload control subsystem
- Provide technical support and analysis services to the payload controllers conducting command and control of WGS communication payloads. This technical support includes developing and implementing procedures to identify and resolve complex satellite anomalies and performance analysis.
- Supports the generation of special data collections to assist in satellite testing, anomaly analysis, and other data required to support Wideband MILSATCOM operations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Holds a U.S. Government TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibility
- Specific experience in GSCCE operations at a Wideband SATCOM Operations Center (WSOC)
- Ability to isolate and resolve complex problems, identify workarounds to these problems, and implement and document corrective actions
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Proficiency with M.S. Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., Security+)
- Working knowledge of RMF and cybersecurity requirements
- Previous experience supporting DoD/government customers
- Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Salary Range: $80,000 - $105,000
- Engineer Level 2: Bachelor's degree and three or more years of relevant experience, Master's degree with no experience
- Engineer Level 3: Bachelor's degree and seven or more years relevant experience, Master's degree and four or more years relevant experience
