Position Summary

Personally contacts and secures market acceptance through work with local regulators, contractors and distributors. Gives recommendations and helps facilitate plan acceptance with designers and the local health department. Trains and educates the installers and regulators on product use and industry knowledge. Point of contact for all technical questions in your region. Based in East Hartford with travel once a month.

Core Functions

  • Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.
  • Train local regulators and contractors on the proper design, installation and inspection of the GSF system.
  • Encourage designers to contact you for information and how to use the product.

Details of Function

  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for GSF.
  • Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective regulators and contractors.
  • Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Coordinates with home office to develop marketing materials.
  • Coordinates with home office to develop technical improvements at the local and state level.
  • Analyzes the market potential and determine which counties will require more attention to develop relationships.
  • Identifies advantages and compares organization’s products to marketplace.
  • Oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  • Participates in trade shows and conventions.
  • Participates in training sessions and industry events.
  • Maintain contact list.

Qualifications

Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative services approach). Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license.
