Full Job Description
The Civil Division at LaBella provides comprehensive engineering, operations, and inspection services for simple and complex natural gas projects. We perform our services at Gate Stations, District Regulator Stations, Distribution and Transmission Pipelines, customer services, etc. for our utility company clients.
The Field Construction Manager will conduct direct and indirect inspections to various pipeline infrastructure projects to meet client needs. The FCM will oversee contractor construction activities on behalf of the Owner to ensure compliance with the plans and specifications, safety and environmental regulations, and Company requirements, they will coordinate onsite work activities with Company operations, and other projects. The FCM will coordinate and manage on site work documentation and communications in support of the overall Construction Manager, Project Manager, and/or the Owner. The FCM is responsible for coordination of material delivery, develop and maintain as-built documentation, and must be onsite whenever work of any nature is being performed, monitor schedule, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. The prospective individual will have a willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments throughout the industry. Multiple positions are available. Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Project Manager for day-to-day operations
- Assure contractor obligation and adherence to design plans, change orders, RFIs, MOC, etc.
- Inspect and Investigate pipeline facility infrastructure anomalies
- Manage contractor day to day activities
- Compose detailed daily reports in a timely manner
- Versatile in both pipeline maintenance and construction services
- Demonstrates leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project. Applies the requirements of the project specific safety program to promote overall compliance of health and safety standards, applicable regulations and codes with all employees and subcontractors on the project
- Provide as built documentation for existing and new pipeline infrastructure
- Keep written/photographs and records onsite to adequately document project to client standards.
- Ensures installation is in accordance with utilities Construction Standards, O/M Manual, Federal and State law, and Industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction related field - Preferred.
- 4+ Years of experience in natural gas transmission, midstream, or distribution pipeline facilities - Required.
- NACE CIP 1 or 2 AND/OR CP 1 or 2 - Preferred
- CWI - Strongly Preferred
- API 1169 - Preferred
- OSHA 10 or 30 - Preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions - Required
- Computer skills Word, Excel, Outlook - Required
- Working knowledge of the changes in Pipeline infrastructure construction - Required
- Willingness to travel - Required
- Strong verbal and written communications skills - Required
Salary Range: $44 - $72/hr.
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
