Our organization is seeking a highly qualified MHC Social Work Clinician to join our team. This role requires a skilled and compassionate professional with strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative spirit. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and providing treatment to a diverse range of clients using contemporary clinical tools and culturally sensitive approaches. They will implement appropriate therapeutic modalities in individual, family, couples, and group therapy settings, maintaining a 65% productivity rate. Maintaining positive relationships with referral sources and collateral contacts is essential, as is active and engaged participation in team meetings. The clinician will facilitate referrals to internal and external programs, ensuring accurate completion of all related documentation.
Adhering to agency and Office of Mental Health (OMH) standards for documentation is crucial, as is the timely completion of progress notes and treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The clinician will actively manage their caseload, collaborating with supervisors on adjustments and discharges. They will demonstrate sound judgment in resolving appointment-related issues, considering safety, risk, and liability, and maintaining clear communication during transitions.
Cultural competence and proficiency in managing co-occurring disorders across all age groups are key. The clinician must stay informed about current ethical standards, maintaining a positive public image for the organization and adhering to applicable laws. Professional development is also important, including maintaining licensure and continuing education. The clinician should practice self-care and seek appropriate support when needed.
Effective communication and collaboration within the team are essential, as is maintaining objectivity and openness to feedback. The clinician should communicate assertively and effectively with all departments, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment. They must complete all required training to meet agency and licensure standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, and the clinician must meet with management within seven days of any compliance report to develop a plan for improvement.
Salary is based on experience and work hours.
