At Seasoned Recruitment, we are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Radiological Technologist X-Ray to join our team. As a Radiological Technologist X-Ray, you will be responsible for conducting radiography (x-ray) examinations on patients, adhering to radiation safety protocols and ensuring the technical quality of images. You will play a vital role in accurately and efficiently entering and monitoring patient data, conducting quality assurance checks on equipment, and assisting with accreditation applications. In the event of accidents or equipment malfunctions, you will promptly report incidents to management. With flexible scheduling, you may also handle emergency calls and administer diagnostic tests as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Perform radiography (x-ray) examinations on patients while strictly adhering to radiation safety protocols
- Ensure accurate patient positioning, selection of appropriate imaging techniques, and maintenance of high technical image quality
- Accurately and efficiently enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with departmental standards for documentation and record-keeping
- Conduct regular quality assurance checks on radiology equipment to uphold optimal performance standards
- Assist with accreditation applications and collaborate with organizations such as the American College of Radiology (ACR) to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements
- Promptly identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunctions to departmental management, following established reporting protocols and procedures
- Respond to emergency call duties within the department as required and demonstrate flexibility in work scheduling to support operational needs
- Administer breath alcohol tests and urine drug screens when necessary, following standardized procedures and protocols to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Assist with patient registration tasks, such as verifying insurance coverage, collecting payments, and updating patient information in the system
- Uphold a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors by strictly adhering to all policies, procedures, and standards
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Radiologic Technologist certification
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and practices
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and monitor patient data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to handle emergency calls and administer diagnostic tests as necessary
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and requirements is preferred
- Ability to lift and maneuver patients with assistance to perform job functions effectively
