Full Job Description
We are looking for an interim Talent Acquisition and Research Leader to manage our executive talent acquisition and research efforts. This person will help with ongoing human capital needs ranging from conducting formal searches to scaling for potential needs and meeting with proven CEO/CFO/Senior Executives.
This role will play a critical role in all aspects of talent acquisition, talent development, and talent management and will be responsible for developing and implementing research strategies that support the identification and acquisition of top-tier talent for high-impact roles within the firm and with our portfolio companies.
The Talent Acquisition and Research Leader will collaborate closely with senior leadership, partners, and hiring managers to drive recruitment strategies and to ensure a steady pipeline of exceptional C-Suite candidates that are aligned with the firm’s growth strategy.
This individual must be detail-oriented, possess strong business acumen, and have experience researching and developing comprehensive working lists of potential candidates across various industries and sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Research Leadership:
- Develop and oversee talent acquisition research strategies to identify, attract, and assess potential candidates for executive-level positions across our portfolio our companies.
- Implement market mapping, competitive intelligence, and talent pool analyses to support both ongoing and future hiring needs.
- Drive thought leadership in research methods and innovative approaches to sourcing and talent acquisition.
- Market Insights & Competitive Intelligence:
- Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends, competitor landscapes, and talent market dynamics, with a focus on sectors relevant to our business.
- Analyze market trends to recommend sourcing strategies and enhance the firm’s ability to target high-demand candidates.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the senior management team, informing decisions on recruitment, compensation trends, and talent acquisition strategies.
- Candidate Identification & Screening:
- Oversee and participate in candidate identification, initial screenings, and background research, ensuring the highest standards of candidate quality.
- Develop detailed working lists of potential candidates, utilizing various research tools, databases, and networks to identify executive-level candidates, and develop strong pipelines for both active and passive searches.
- Implement best practices for research, ensuring thorough and consistent candidate tracking, documentation, and assessment.
Requirements
- Experience in research or talent acquisition within a private equity firm, executive search firm, or a similarly high-performance recruitment environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and stakeholders.
- Expertise in market research, candidate sourcing strategies, and executive-level recruitment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
