About You
We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Temporary Staff Accountant. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will create and deliver robust financial practices by managing, preparing, and analyzing Sales Reports and commission schedules, by preparing timely, accurate month-end financial reports and reconciliations, and by executing costing updates such as cost rolls and variance reviews.
Responsibilities:
- To deliver timely and accurate sales incentive payments by analyzing Territory sales, measuring against goals while ensuring compliance to Comp Plan agreements, and by calculating commission payouts and ensuring payment processes are met
- Manage Channel Partner payment and commissions structures by analyzing Territory sales attributable to Channel Partners, measuring and verifying against goals and payment plans, and by ensuring timely, accurate payment processes are made
- Create and prepare Sales reports and analyses by maintaining and managing accurate, up-to-date sales performance and incentives records, determining actionable items, then communicating findings across and through the organization. Also, by coordinating annual sales forecasts and budgets
- Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and statements by maintaining and managing general ledger entries, account reconciliations and financial statements, by reviewing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset entries, and by maintaining and reconciling intercompany accounts payable and account receivable.
- Maintain regulatory financial reporting and payment schedule requirements by keeping up to date on external reporting requirements, preparing and filing on-time city, state and federal forms, and by ensuring prompt sales tax reconciliations and disbursements
- Prepare documentation for company financial reporting and records by fully observing generally accepted accounting principles, correcting anomalies, and by coordinating and transferring data submission to auditing teams as needed
Requirements
- 3+ experience related finance/accounting experience – sales commission or incentive calculation experience essential
- Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalency
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning tools, preferably JD Edwards E-1
- Advanced Excel skills required, particularly experience with pivot tables
- Exceptionally detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an excellent communicator
- Ability to present data, trends, and metrics in support of business needs and solutions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
Assignment Length: 3-6 months
